Export your posts
Download every post — drafts, published, and archived — as one JSON file.
Your writing is yours. Under Dashboard > Settings > Export posts, choose Download posts to get a vibecms-export-<date>.json file containing the whole blog. The tab is owner-only; editors don’t see it.
What’s in the file
The JSON carries schemaVersion: 2, the site identity (id, name, slug, description, default SEO fields), and a posts array. Each post includes:
- Its status (
draft, published, orarchived), slug, title, excerpt, tags, SEO fields, canonical URL, cover asset, presentation settings, and timestamps contentMarkdown— the current tippublishedVersion— a snapshot of the version live on the blog, when one existsdraftTip— a snapshot of the newest saved version, when it differs from the published onemediaAssets— metadata and/media-assets/<id>URLs for each image the published and draft tips reference
What’s not in the file
- Image files. Only metadata and URLs are exported; download the binaries separately if you need them.
- Version history. The export has the published version and the current tip, not every past version.
- Subscribers and site configuration beyond the fields above.
The export is a backup and portability format — there is no matching import. To move content elsewhere, render it or hand the Markdown to your next system.
