Agent workflows

Ship to draft

Draft a blog post from a merged pull request or release, then review it in vibecms.

This workflow turns selected GitHub changes into private drafts. It never publishes or schedules a post. Review the draft in your dashboard and publish it separately.

Setup

  1. Create a Write drafts agent key for the blog. Add it to your repository’s Actions secrets as VIBECMS_KEY. Do not use a key that can publish.
  2. Add ANTHROPIC_API_KEY as a second repository secret. Alternatively, generate a token with claude setup-token and add it as CLAUDE_CODE_OAUTH_TOKEN instead. Set only one Claude credential.
  3. Create a repository label called blog. Enable issues if you want release drafts.
  4. Save the following as .github/workflows/vibecms-draft.yml on your default branch.

A merged PR with the blog label or a published release starts a run. Claude may skip a change that does not make a useful post. An owner, member, or collaborator can comment /vibecms followed by feedback on the draft’s PR or issue to revise it. The bot links to the dashboard editor, not the private preview link.

Repository context is sent to Claude and may be saved as a draft. Install the workflow only in a repository whose maintainers and workflow changes you trust. Review data policies, Actions permissions, and usage costs first.

If a run fails after creating a draft but before posting the marker, check your dashboard before retrying to avoid a duplicate. The workflow does not send its GitHub token to Claude. For more detail, ask your agent to read vibecms-ship-to-draft with skills.get.
